I received a ton of great feedback on my last post regarding free ADHD resources so I decided to share 5 more that I’ve found.
These resources can help you manage your ADHD, teach others about their ADHD, and even understand yourself better. Some of them are useful for anyone, both neurotypicals and neurodivergents alike.
Coaching with Brooke
Brooke is an ADHD coach who can be found on X, instagram, and Facebook. Her social media is a great tool for helping explain all of the little quirks associated with ADHD. I’ve found her posts to be not only informative, but extremely helpful for explaining the symptoms of the disorder to neurotypicals.
There are some paid options on their website for anyone who is interested in ADHD coaching as well. You can get 50% off their coaching if you order before 5/30/2024 by using promo code SPECIAL2
Healthy Minds
Healthy Minds is a free meditation app for both new and experienced individuals. The app not only guides you through both active and resting meditation, but also teaches you about how the mind works. They cover topics such as unconscious bias, anxiety, amongst a variety of others in the app which help you understand how your mind works so much better.
One of my favorite features of this app is your ability to set the length of time that you want to meditate for. It’s perfect for if you are on the go but need to find your center again.
They are able to offer the app to users for free thanks to donations. You can donate directly in the app, but its not required to use the app in its entirety.
Journey
Journey is a free journaling app. While there are plenty journaling apps out there that you can use for free, I personally like Journey because of their library of templates and prompts. While not all of the options in the library are included in the free plan, there are still plenty of options for you to choose from. Don’t like any of their prompts? Start with a blank page and make your own.
Journey also has numerous integrations, such as WordPress and Zapier, to allow for publishing of your journal entries should you ever want too. You can also edit your posts with markdown editing in the free version, vs. having to pay to use the editing features.
Overall, its a super helpful app for both people who are experienced with journaling and those who are just getting started.
Totally ADD
This blog is one of the best for keeping discussions about the disorder light, friendly, and even humorous. The site is broken up into different sections, such as blog posts, videos, and even memes. I personally love the way it is broken up because it allows viewers to access the information in whatever format works best for them. Plus, he gives it to you straight; what ADHDer doesn’t love that?
CHADD
Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) is an organization dedicated to empowering people with ADHD. They provide evidence-based information for managing your ADHD as well as provide information about the disorder.
CHADD is also one of the primary sponsors of the ADHD Conference. This year, they will be hosting the conference at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. The event takes place in November. For more information, check out the CHADD website.
Hopefully you found some neat tools throughout the two posts I’ve had regarding free resources for ADHD individuals. As I find more, I will be sure to share them. Don’t you want to miss them? Subscribe and receive my posts in your inbox.
