In Loving Memory of My Best Friend, Colt.

July 2011-March 2024

Hi! I’m Colt and my mom said I get to have my very own page to show all my friends all the cool stuff I get to do. She keeps saying that they are her friends, but we all know who they actually want to hang out with. But for all “her” friends that want to know more about me, here ya go!

It was nearly the end of summer in 2011 that my mom and her reptilian boyfriend showed up. They had a gas-powered scooter tied to the top of their car and I knew they were the ones I wanted. All my brothers and sisters had already found new homes, so they were coming to look at me. As they got out of the car, I heard that reptile guy remind her “Remember Nicole we are just LOOKING,” and I knew what I had to do. So after I visited with the lady for a few minutes, she handed me over to him and I instantly climbed up his chest and planted a big fat kiss right on his cheek. Instantly I heard my new mom say “We will take him.”

I later found out the reptile never really had a say and the kiss wasn’t necessary. My mom decided she wanted a dog so she was getting a dog. It wasn’t even a full year later before she got rid of the boyfriend and moved in with my Grandma and Grandpa who said no more dogs. They didn’t seem surprised when my mom didn’t listen and started sneaking me into the house. (And she wonders why I dismiss the silly rules she makes.) Looks like another case of my mom saying she wanted the dog and getting the dog. They got over it pretty fast though. I’m good at laying on the charm real thick, just ask my girlfriends. But ya, now my grandpa and I are best buds and do lots of fun stuffs together while Grandma and I have matching PJs!

Since my mom doesn’t have any real kids, she treats me like a kid. Which means that we have had Mommy and Me photos done a few times. Here is one from our latest photoshoot.

Here we are as babies. The photo next to it was the last coast trip we took. Boy oh boy I sure love the beach. I can’t wait to go back.

Gotten Arrested and Mom had to post my bail.
Rode a 4 Wheeler and a Dirtbike
went cruising in Grandpa’s hotrod to go get ice cream
rescued a kitten
babysat so my mom could go outside real quick
trained countless puppies
scared away the weirdo on our front porch
rode in a boat
gone fishing
found an oppossum and brought it to my mom (She loves oppossums)
ate ALL of grandmas cookies
been a bar regular
had to get my mom in cab after she had one to many sips
stayed out wayyyy to late
gone camping I dunno how many times

…..and so many more fun things. I go everywhere with my mom. As long as I stick by her side then I get to join her and make all the other doggos jelly. Here’s some pics of some of my adventures.
